Pavestone Rally - Dover to Monte Carlo

7-10 September 2017

The BMF has nominated the Teenage Cancer Trust as its charity partner for 2017. During the year the Federation will raise funds through four major events, the proceeds to be shared equally between the Teenage Cancer Trust and the merchant industry’s own charity, the Rainy Day Trust.

The BMF has agreed with the organisers of the Pavestone Rally (formerly Vado Rally) that the proceeds of this event will also be divided equally between the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Rainy Day Trust. The 2016 Vado Rally raised £60K for charity, and the Pavestone Rally 2017 is aiming to raise an amazing £100K.

Aaron Frogley, who organises the Rally, said: “After the huge success of the Vado Rally I am looking forward to welcoming more teams on the 2017 Pavestone Rally. The four days are guaranteed to be filled with laughter! I am extremely grateful for the support that John and all at the BMF have given both rallies and Pavestone is proud to be supporting two such deserving charities.”

The challenge

Simply buy a road-legal car for under £500 (the cheaper the car, the more fun!), dress it up yourselves and hit Europe’s greatest roads and cities for 4 days to Monte Carlo.

All in fancy dress, you’ll complete challenges along the way, have loads of laughs and a whole lotta fun - and all in aid of charity. Every pound you raise will help two well deserving charities, Teenage Cancer Trust and The Rainy Day Trust.

Entrants will meet at the white cliffs of Dover and then head into Belgium via Ghent.

  • First night's stop will be in Luxembourg City.
  • Day 2 - heading through Germany and Switzerland with an overnight in Liechtenstein.
  • Day 3 - heading through Austria before turning right over the Stelvio Pass into Italy and finishing the day in Verona.
  • The last day will be a straightforward drive to Monte Carlo and overnight in Nice.

Rally registration will open on 2 January. Entry fee is £350 per person (based on twin room accommodation). The entry fee covers hotels, ferry crossings, tax in applicable countries, European car kit, and the presentation meal on the last night. All teams are asked to raise a minimum of £1500 split between the two charities, Rainy Day Trust and Teenage Cancer Trust.

You will need to source your car, fancy dress etc. Meals and drink each day are your own expense (apart from meal on last night). If you decide to scrap the car in Nice then return flights are your own expense. (Return ferry crossing is included in the cost).
